Business Description

We are a leading construction company servicing a 70 mile radius of the greater Kansas City Metropolitan in the Midwest offering diversified nonresidential design/build general contracting, traditional general contracting, and construction management services to private clients and public agencies. We have established a strong reputation within our market for executing complex projects on time and within budget while adhering to strict quality control measures. Of our ten largest active construction contracts, we have provided, or are providing, design/build general contracting services to nine of these ten clients. According to the Design-Build Institute of America, the design/build project delivery system is the fastest growing and most popular method to deliver construction projects in the United States. Our contract revenue has increased from $19.6 million in 2015 to $28.4 million in 2018 and is expected to reach $40 million in 2019. For the eight months ended August 31, 2019, we generated $29 million in contract revenue. Our backlog of uncompleted contracts at August 31, 2019 was $25 million. We believe that our gross margin has expanded from 8.2% in 2015 to 13.4% in 2018 primarily due to favorable economic conditions, our focus on design/build services, and our ability to efficiently manage larger and more difficult projects than we have in prior years. The Company’s sellers’ discretionary earnings have increased from $0.9 million in 2015 to $2.7 million in 2018 and are expected to be in excess of $3.5 million in 2019. We strongly believe that our industry is going through a transformation brought on by the design/build movement and that this is a positive sign for our long-term prospects.
