Business Description

Established business with minimal time commitment to maintain

This business provides 2 products to an established clientele. Most of the work done is subcontracted to 3rd parties and the primary role of the owner to ensure that components are moving through the supply chain. The owner picks up completed product from the final subcontractor and stores it in the garage until orders from customers come in. The total amount of work needed to maintain operations is only around 5 or 6 hours weekly. This company has been a great side-gig with great supplemental income for me over the past 6 years that I have owned it. There is major opportunity to grow this company if the new owner has ambitions and time to reach out to new customers. Similar products to ours are sold in hardware and home improvement stores and this is exactly where I would be expanding to if I didn't already have a great day time job. This is a great company to run outside of normal working hours. The only reason I am looking to sell is because I am moving my family to Utah and it would be difficult to transport our products molds that distance. This company would be best run from a location in the central Texas area unless you already work with a plastic mold injection company that can accept and use the molds.

The only thing I need to run this from my home is my computer and space in my garage. The assets I hold are the product molds that are stored at a plastic injection subcontractor, finished product in my garage, and WIP held throughout my supply chain.
There are several companies that make similar products to us. I sell to several irrigation suppliers, but many of my competitors sell on Ebay, Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, and other hardware stores. There is a lot of room for this company to grow if you have more time than I do to devote to expansion efforts.
Growth & Expansion:
There are a significant number potential selling locations like Ebay, Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, Irrigation supply companies, and much more. A pro of expansion is that it would only take coordination of increasing the flow of product through the supply chain. A con is that several of the pieces in the supply chain require payment up front so any significant expansion efforts would require investment liquidity.
Flexible arrangements can be discussed
Support & Training:
I will train the new owner on every aspect of the business and am happy to stay in touch for as long as the new owner feels that they need my help or advice. I would expect that anyone learning the how to run the business could master it within one month.
Reason for Selling:
Moving Family to Utah
