You don’t need a background in fitness or boxing. Most RockBox Fitness franchisees have no fitness industry experience. They are passionate about health and fitness, have good business acumen and can execute relentlessly on a defined plan. We seek out franchisees who possess a strong work ethic and drive to succeed, solid character, professional demeanor, discipline, and a genuine and authentic desire to help people.

Rockbox’s classroom training, customized remote web-learning, plus supervised OTJ training pre- and post-launch at the franchisee’s location prepares each franchisee to launch aggressively and quickly scale the business.

History

While the RockBox Fitness business model was designed from the ground up to be highly predictable and scalable at the franchise level, the RockBox story doesn’t start in a boardroom. Like many success stories, it starts with one person and a dream.

Steve Halloran, co-founder of RockBox Fitness, was a serial entrepreneur with corporate roots who also happened to be an avid amateur boxer. Combining his love for boxing, kickboxing, and functional strength training led Steve to start his first training studio in 2013. He quickly grew his membership, and his passion for changing people’s lives through fitness was felt by every new member he gained.

What Steve didn’t know when he started RockBox was that he would find a helping hand from one of his members. Roger Martin began taking classes at RockBox in early 2017, and it wasn’t long before his entrepreneurial spirit kicked in alongside his fitness drive and passion for boxing and kickboxing. After taking an intense liking to everything about RockBox, he quit his executive job in the pharmaceutical industry to join Steve and devote himself full-time to making RockBox Fitness a household name. Most recently, Steve and Roger brought Jeff Dudan into the organization as a third equity partner. Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the franchising business and has successfully built several franchise concepts into very successful businesses.

This triple threat team is behind the company’s fast growth and promising future. The company values spell out the acronym F.A.S.T.E.R, and it’s no surprise the RockBox Fitness model is quickly paying off for franchisees joining the team. Our exclusive online learning management system, RockBox University, gives you the advice and strategies you need to ramp up from 0 to 60. We give you the tools to deal with the many details that will inevitably arise during the normal course of business. In addition, you and your select staff will attend classroom training at our headquarters to prepare you to launch and grow.
